It all began in 1979 in Forlì, in 1984 he created the first demo containing only three songs which demonstrated all the ability and preparation of Rex Inferi. After this work the band became one of the best realities of the underground scene of the time. In 1985 the group entrusted itself to the hands of Paul Chain, one of the minds of Italian metal.
– And under his guidance he created the first EP “The Damage Has Been Done”.

The content of the album, five songs, will go down in history as one of the few examples of good Speed Metal, perhaps the best produced by an Italian band in that period. Maurizio Samori was the main creator of Rex Inferi’s music, the album passed to LM Records and today it is rather difficult to find, considering the cost of vinyl is not exactly cheap. Officially the history of the Italian combo ends here: after the creation of The Damage Has Been Done the band split up. In fact, Rex Inferi had already entered the studio to produce their second chapter “Like A Hurricane”, an album that was never released until 2005.

Damage Has Been Done was released in 1000 copies on vinyl and 500 on Compact Disc.
Like A Hurricane was released in 300 copies on vinyl and 500 on compact disc.
